Police had to Taser Christopher Burgess, 42, of Mansfield, Notts. He got a year's community order at Lincoln magistrates court after admitting having a pit-bull type dog. Clare Parker, 44, of Kexby, Lincs was jailed for 18 weeks after being convicted on three dog fighting charges. Mohammed Farooq, 34, of Birmingham, Gary Adamson, 38, of Yarm, and Owen Batey, 40, of Middlesbrough, were jailed for up to 26 weeks after admitting charges. A 17-yearold from Birmingham got a six-month referral order after he was convicted on six charges. Kenny King, 35, of Ragnall, Notts has admitted dog fight charges and will be sentenced at a later date. |
