PoochesnPoodles is a small family business with the sole aim of offering a one to one Dog Grooming service with the “personal” touch.

Jilly trained and qualified in London as a professional dog groomer over 20 years ago. She wasn’t comfortable with a shop environment for her own dogs, where they are caged up and kept for ages with so many other dogs. She started her little business and was delighted to see there were many other people like her, who wanted their dogs groomed on a one-to-one basis.

Jilly originally operated from her home in Beckenham and then moved to the Bromley/Orpington borders 17 years ago. Her clients voted with their feet and paws, to remain her customers.

Jilly is City & Guild’s qualified dog groomer and an A1 Assessor.

Over this period of time, with some clients, sadly they are into the third generation of their beloved fluffies. Trust and friendships have formed, and they become part of her extended family.

Jilly is a true animal lover. That is not something you can train to become, you just ‘are’. She has one dog and four cats who run her home, and she attends to their every need.

In her spare time to remain healthy, she attempts to run. Her last marathon she ran for FOAL Farm animal rescue and her next marathon is for Orpington Cat rescue.
